the car served in Afghanistan in the period 2001-2010. was demilitarised and flown out to Ghana where i live.
wasnt aware of that in the beginning, but with research and looking at the car i noticed a lot of Military spec evidence. I am restoring it and trying to keep the original look and replace the non original parts like side mirrors and rims.G wagon interior Front 1.jpg1d6e9786-a486-4730-af6f-3659600df354.jpg
Welcome

That G does not at all look like a Wolf (2,400 mm wheelbase Convertible with folding windshield, BM 7) but as a standard LWB Station Wagon 300GD, as denoted by its 460.333 chassis type. Can you post its VIN so that we can dig further?

Hi
I’m Dan from the north of England. I have purchased a w460 300GD . It has sat in my garage for a year until I was ready to start. When it arrived it started in the button. Drove forward and back. So a good start. The bodywork is in a bad way, but the chassis looks good. I used to live out in the countryside and had a workshop where I renovated / overhauled Massey tractors. But this will be my first time doing a full restoration on a car / truck road vehicle.
So will be asking a load of question. Any help and tips would be much much appreciated and needed. Thanks
