Russell, in the states... Clearwater Florida. I have a 1989 250GD Wolf (w461317) living with me.
In the middle of a paint, clean up / make wolf great again project. I do have a wiring issue... the instrument / Dash lights have no power. Besides that its coming back together, need new top thou. Wondering if anyone in Florida area?

Nice wolf... and nice in Clearwater... spent my honeymoon there many moons ago! Some of the military spec G’s have different light settings for operational reasons and may have a different switch or setting...

Hello, Paul here in Newry, County Down. I have been looking for a G Wagen for a while now and was wisely advised to join the register. Excellebt site! Delighted to see how many enthusiasts are from the island of Ireland! I have seen 2 particular vehicles, both owned by decent chaps who have really looked after them, both are LWB 463s in black, both approximately 170k miles. One on England and one in Ireland. Don't do very many miles per annum and not too annoyed about MPG, I've owned a 3.5l V6 Nissan Murano for 14 years with 99k miles on clock to prove those 2 points! One of the vehicles I'm looking at is the 3l diesel from 1993 and the other is 3l petrol from 1991. Just wonder how they compare in reliability and performance. Both have sunroof problems. To be honest I dont mind spending a few quid to put an older vehicle right. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou in advance. P

I know the 91 petrol in Manchester and it’s had plenty spent on it in long term ownership

Both are similar to drive and I’ve owned both models

Petrol has more go.. not quick but ok

Diesel is more pedestrian but adequate

Diesel in theory is easier to upgrade the power but that’s not to say it’s easy!

Depends also whether manual or auto and then what your going to do with it also...

Wonder if the diesel is known on here?

Hello from Finland!
I imported a bit over year ago a W463 200GE -91.
I updated the engine to more modern m111 compressor engine, Vems standalone ecu, custom engine mounts, Gear box 716.657 SG-S400/6.1. The engine bay starts to be quite full, but I still need to somehow fit a AC compressor, rcondenser and better electic fan
I also want to add a integrated computer to run off road maps, google maps, ecu info, music etc.

Hi Gav.
Yes. It is Italian. I think the 200ge is only sold in Italy.
I bought it from Milan and drove it through Austria and Germany then a ferry to Finland. I think it was 2000 km. The car had a LPG conversion. The K-jetronic was not working so good, so I barely got it trough mot and the original 5 speed gearbox was changed to some old w124 5 speed gearbox.

It needs all lower panels all round replacing due to rust, but I’m taking my time and trying to be a bit more organised… tidying the garage twice a week as a rule
