Hello All from Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Nice to join the forum. My visits here will be sporadic but nonetheless helpful I'm sure.
To bring you up to speed on my place in the G-wagen world, I recently purchased a 2015 G550 W463, M273, K55 with 140k kms. I had the body stripped down to the primer, had any rust removed, and whatever panels needing welding, taken care of. All of which was finished in mercedes gloss black. I rebuilt the fuel tank, swapped out the suspension (Fox 2.0), put a 2" lift to accomodate a set of Toyo M655 285/70/R17 AT tires. I removed the bumpers, and replaced them with heavy duty ~1/4 steel tow bumbers, with a 10k lbs Warn winch on the front. The rear door is donning a 3 point spare tire rack which takes the strain off of the door. The rest is all minor stuff, such as filters, plugs, diff lock lines etc. The truck is primarily going to be used for hunting, fishing, and off road excursions. So that's the long and short of it. Once I figure out if there's an option to attach a photo I will share. Thank you all.

Long time lurker here and now we own a SWB G. Posted over a year ago for advice and have been looking for the right car to hit the market. We really wanted a RHD model and they don’t really come on the market that often..

1992 MY 300 GE. I think the car was posted on here when at at Edward Hall. Will become a little project for improvement over time. My only regret is I should have purchased one sooner! Such a great little truck. So far we have done a wheel change, an oil service, rocker gasket replacement and front brakes and discs. To come is a potential interior refresh and to fix little problems ready for the winter.

What major preventative actions I should take given she has 187k miles? I have a huge history file on her and previous keepers kept on top of maintenance. She drives beautifully and gear change is quite smooth! I do get a little white smoke on start up for maybe 5 seconds and dissapears..
